The University of York has been ranked 28th in a league table of the world’s most international universities.
The Times Higher Education World University Ranking took into account a number of factors including international staff, students and co-authors on academic papers. The rankings also includes a measure of universities’ international reputations, taken from THE’s annual
Academic Reputation Survey. Professor Saul Tendler, Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Provost, said: “The rankings also include a measure of universities' international reputations, taken from THE’s annual Academic Reputation Survey“.
“We encourage a global mindset in our students, reflected in their curriculum, the opportunities they have for study and work abroad, and their preparation for future careers.
“We also have an international community – with staff and students from over 100 different countries. And our research has a worldwide impact – work on infectious diseases, urbanisation, heritage management, atmospheric pollution and biofuels is undertaken with international partners.”
